Emerge provides safe housing and extended services after discharge to survivors of domestic violence and their children after the crisis period.

Since its founding in 1995, Emerge has provided services to over 250 women and children, with a success rate of 98%.

Without low affordable housing and support services of a longer duration, women are forced to return to familiar abusive relationships. Emergency shelters do not provide the time needed for a woman to start her life over.

All of Emerge’s services are provided in-house and include:

  • Safe Housing
  • Counseling – for both mothers and their children
  • Financial Planning & Household Budgeting
  • Employment/Job Skills Assistance
  • Support Groups
  • Parenting Skills
  • Post Program Follow-up

“I was blessed to be part of Emerge, a program that actually saved the lives of me and my mother. You open your doors to battered women and their children to restore their lives and help build a better and safer future. I can honestly say, as I leave for college, that had it not been for God and Emerge by our side, I don’t know where we would be.”
